West Sacramento, California is unsurprisingly located just outside of California’s capital city on the western border of Sacramento. California was still part of Mexico back in 1844 when the first European settlers began arriving in West Sacramento. The great gold rush in the mid-19th century solidified West Sacramento as a major destination for people to settle in, and with the arrival of the railroads, the population of the Sacramento area skyrocketed.

West Sacramento is considered one of the best areas to live and visit within the Sacramento metro area. When you book an RV in West Sacramento you'll find yourself between the coast and the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and there will be so many places to see during your travels. San Francisco and Oakland in the Bay Area are only a few hours' drive away, as are many of the national forests and parks to the east.

Lake Tahoe itself is worthy of its own vacation, with some of the purest, clearest, and deepest water imaginable.
