On the northern fringes of the Dayton metropolitan area, about an hours’ drive west of Columbus, is the peaceful suburb of West Milton. West Milton was first settled by European immigrants in 1807, named for John Milton, an English poet. For its first two decades, the town was referred to as Milton, with "West" being added to the name after the first post office was erected in 1824.

The village of West Milton benefits from lying on the cusp of an urbanized area while enjoying the small-town delights, and the pleasures of simple life without the stress and anxiety of city life. Dotted with vibrant streets, beautiful parks, and friendly faces, you won’t regret it when you book an RV in West Milton, especially if you are seeking a nice home base while touring Ohio in search of big-city attractions and fabulous nature preserves. Dayton International Airport is minutes from town, so getting to and from West Milton is impossibly easy.

John Bryan State Park is located on the other side of Dayton, with incredible nature trails, biking paths, rugged gorges, and cascading waterfalls. The park was once home to a few river mill settlements that have since been abandoned and returned to a more natural state. There are camping spots available should you need a place to camp in your West Milton RV rental by owner.
