The Tudor-style Campbell House also highlights the pioneer history of the area. Another popular spot is the huge Riverfront Park, site of the 1974 World’s Fair, with its sculpture walk, cable car, pretty scenic meadows, and IMAX theater, and the 1909 historic Looff Carousel ride.

Centennial Trail offers a lovely hike or bike ride through the heart of downtown. Running some nine miles past some of Spokane’s many historical sites and buildings, this is a great way to get a feel for this city in eastern Washington.
