Parkesburg is a municipality in Chester County, Pennsylvania. It began as the Fountain Inn, a tavern that was built in 1734; the inn lasted until 1836 when it was transformed into a post office. The surrounding area became known as Sadsbury Township around 1717 and remained so until 1872. It was renamed Parkesburg by the Pennsylvania Legislature after a prominent politician, John G. Parke (the community's new name was suggested by Parke's son, Joseph G. Parke). The town has two buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Parkesburg National Bank and Parkesburg School. The former Fountain Inn/post office later became a private residence.

RV rentals in Chester County are well suited to the Pennsylvania environment, assuring a comfortable and enjoyable vacation. There are other towns of note that could prove interesting to visitors. Blue Ball was originally an inn built and managed by John Wallace, who hung a blue ball from a post; locals gave the town a slang name, Blue Ball, which was later made official (the original inn was torn down in 1997). Morgantown was named after Colonel Jacob Morgan, who settled there around 1765 and built a stone house which is said to have briefly housed George Washington (the house still remains). Downingtown was originally named Milltown for its abundance of mills; the community became popularly known as Downingtown around the time of the Civil War, and its name was changed officially in 1812. Concordville is located at the Junction of U.S. Routes 1 and 322, which are two of the original roads in the state (Baltimore Pike, which became Route 1, and Concorde Pike). Lancaster is one of the oldest cities nationwide and has more CCTV cameras per capita than some cities such as Boston or San Francisco. Your Parkesburg travel trailer rental is your introduction to this magnificent and historical area; where it takes you from there is only limited by your imagination.
