In the wide-open terrain of western Washington, you can book an RV in Mossyrock and enjoy the trip of your dreams. This hidden gem of a village is nestled between two lakes and surrounded by thick evergreen forests on all sides. Mossyrock is named for a humongous moss-covered rock at the edge of the prairie near town. The town of Mossyrock was founded as a trading post back in 1852 but it was not incorporated until nearly 100 years later in 1948.

The fertile lands of Lewis County provided early settlers with abundant resources and plenty of space to build their new lives and Mossyrock has long been considered the heart of this magnificent area. When you rent an RV in the charming, Western-style town, you’ll be captivated immediately by the scenery and laid-back vibe. Mossyrock is only 20 miles off of Interstate 5, which connects Seattle and Portland together, making for plenty of options and places to see on your trip.

Discover Mossyrock

Experience the Sites and Scenery

Washington is one of the most widely sought-after vacation destinations for outdoor enthusiasts and it's no wonder why when you first lay your eyes on the stunning landscapes of the Evergreen State. Ike Kinswa State Park is just across Mayfield Lake situated north of town, making for a lovely place to visit in your Mossyrock camper rental. The park is rather small, only covering a little over 400 acres, but there are thousands of feet of splendid shore lining Mayfield Lake that can be enjoyed by visitors. You can do nearly anything at Ike Kinswa, like mountain bike around the water’s edge, go for a hike, fish on the river or lake, and, of course, camp out at the campground in your Mossyrock motorhome rental.

Capitol State Forest is located outside of Olympia, the state capital of Washington. Bringing your Mossyrock RV rental to this outstanding forest is a surefire way to experience some of the most peaceful forest areas in the Pacific Northwest. Hiking, biking, horseback riding, and backpacking through the wilderness are the main ways of getting around the park. You can see several interesting landmarks at Capitol State Forest, like the famous Mima Mounds, a bizarre geological feature that dots the landscape.

Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument in the nearby Gifford Pinchot National Forest is truly a sight to behold, home of the infamous Mount St. Helens, where one of the deadliest volcanic catastrophes in recent years happened back in the 1980s. This stunning volcano fully exploded, blowing the entire roof off the top of the mountain, and now only a fraction of the original feature remains. The monument is one of many places to visit in the national forest, where lots of campgrounds can be seen and used when you rent an RV and explore the million-acre forest. Mount Rainier, the state’s most famous stratovolcano can be climbed at the lovely Mount Rainier National Park, one of the very best parks in the entire country. The volcano absolutely dominates the skyline for miles and can be seen from Olympia and Seattle. The majestic mountain is surrounded by subalpine valleys full of exquisite wildflowers and icy, glacial lakes with pure water. You will easily find accommodation for your Mossyrock camper rental when you visit this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Where to Park It

The Centralia Fox Theatre is one of the highlights of visiting Centralia. This elegant old theater was built in 1930 and has been renovated to become an Art Deco style performance theater for old movie screenings and live stage productions.
