The origin of the name of Mohnton, Pennsylvania is derived from one of the earlier settlers. Mohn’s Store was the location of the earliest post office in this small town. The post office was first established in 1857, but it was eventually renamed Mohnton in 1906. Mohnton sits about an hour's drive northwest of Philadelphia. It is halfway between Harrisburg and Philadelphia and sits among many natural wonders and beautiful vistas.
