This strenuous route begins at Camp Angelus Fire Station near Angelus Oaks, 5,960 feet above sea level, and climbs to over 10,000 feet above sea level. The peak is said to offer the most spectacular views over the San Bernardino Mountain Range. There are also a number of hiking trails leading to the peak of San Gorgonio, the highest peak in Southern California, including the Fish Creek Trail, South Fork Trail, and the Vivian Creek Trail.
