In Central Texas, on the boundary between McLennan and Coryell Counties is the typical Texan city of McGregor. The city was officially established in 1882 and named in honor of Gregor Carmichael McGregor, a local doctor who gave permission for the railway to be built on his land.

Following construction of the railroad, the city of McGregor quickly grew and industries such as tanning, cotton oil, and waterworks took root. Nowadays McGregor is a city filled with historic charm surrounded by beautiful state parks. You’ll find a plethora of recreational activities just a stone's throw away when you book an RV in McGregor.

Instead of riding on the railroad you can reach the McGregor by road; it sits at a junction between Highway 84 and Highway 317, just 16 miles from Waco, the county center. It’s also easily accessible via Interstate 35 from Dallas to Austin.
