It is the largest science and environmental education center in the Department of the Interior. Many visitors are surprised by this hidden gem. It has a wildlife center that offers some amazing exhibits, and you can even take a nice stroll down by the water along any number of gorgeous nature trails.

If you have kids or enjoy thrill parks, you can check out Six Flags America right in Bowie. They have a water park, intense roller coasters, and plenty of other rides for children of all ages. The Bowie Railroad Museum can be a wonderful excursion that lets you step back in time. It’s a small museum and a one-train car, but it offers some great history about the station and community, and you may take a trip down memory lane with some of the items you see here.
