Jefferson also sits right next to the leading edge of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, which contain Grays Peak, Mount Evans, and Mount Lincoln. A bit farther to the west sits White River National Forest near Glenwood Springs. You can also head a bit farther to the west to check out Grand Mesa National Forest near Grand Junction.

The Boreas Pass Road may not be a recommended route for a Jefferson camper rental, but it is close by in Breckenridge. It is considered a relatively small RV park, but they do have pull-through sites and pets are allowed. There are no hookups, but it is located within the Jefferson Lake Recreation Area. It can be in high demand on the weekends so reservations are recommended if you plan to stay with your Jefferson motorhome rental on a Friday or Saturday night.
Spruce Grove Campground is located in Lake George. The campground offers pull-through sites and pets are allowed. From Memorial Day until Labor Day, this park is incredibly busy, especially on the weekends.
Middlefork RV Park is located in Fairplay, Colorado and offers full hookup service, including 30 and 50 amp electric. They offer restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities and they provide pull-through sites. It is one of the only RV parks available in the area. With a larger Jefferson travel trailer rental, getting into and out of this RV park could be a bit of a challenge, though.
You can venture out to Breckenridge where you will find plenty of shopping and dining opportunities as well as history within this mining town. If you are a skiing enthusiast, the well-known ski resort here offers four peaks, five terrain parks, and plenty of activities for winter sports enthusiasts.
There is a ranch located in Fairplay where you can enjoy horseback riding and some gorgeous scenery. Many of the horses here are rescues or are former wild mustangs. It offers a wonderful ride for horseback riders of all levels.
