The Sope Creek Trail is a 1.5-mile hiking trail that leads to the ruins of a Civil War-era paper mill. Within Sope Creek Park, there are over three miles of hiking, biking, and running trails.

Sweetwater Valley Park is located in Villa Rica, GA, and approximately a 19-minute drive from Hiram! This park offers a beautiful wooded atmosphere that lets you feel right at home amongst the trees. Some of the amenities provided include a gated entrance, picnic tables, shower houses, hiking trails, and a playground. This a great park if you're traveling with your whole family!

Should you need a quick overnight stay, consider Walmart, larger grocery stores, or truck stops. There are several Walmarts located within 15 minutes of town and camping may be allowed at these locations. Just check with the manager to get permission. There are also gas stations with trailer access and truck stops that provide showers within 30 miles of Hiram. Pickett's Mill Battlefield State Historic Site is a great place to visit, especially when there’s a specific exhibit on site!
