Vermont is riddled with historic, old-timey towns that still emanate the Vermont vibes residents, vacationers, and guests expect to see. When you book a travel trailer rental in Hinesburg, you will be tucked away from but still close to the more populated areas of Burlington, Williston, and Essex Junction. This charming village town features a small downtown with shops and eateries fitting for the local scene.

Hinesburg is the major hub of some of Vermont’s most active farming communities. So, when in the area with your motorhome rental from Hinesburg, be prepared for endless fields of crops surrounded by the looming mountains this state is known for. While taking in the views of this four-season state, enjoy the farm-to-table mentality that many local shops partake in.

Discover Hinesburg

The Great Outdoors

Most towns in the Green Mountain State are going to offer some network of trails whether on flatter ground or winding through the nearby mountains. Hinesburg features a nice combination of both. With several conservation areas available for use, a morning stroll could turn into a full day nature walk before you know it.

The closest popular mountain peak watches over Charlotte. Once you reach the top of Mount Philo, you’ll realize the folks in Vermont placed a state park up there, Vermont’s first one ever nonetheless. You’ll have views of the Lake Champlain Valley and New York’s Adirondack Mountains. Now, if you’re absolutely not feeling the 0.75-mile trail up, simply drive your RV rental to the top.

There’s no way to miss Lake Champlain. This body of water separates Vermont from Plattsburgh, NY. Ferries are available should you have a need to explore the New York-side, but you should be able to find enough beaches locally to suit your swimming or tanning needs. Have a look at the list of public beach spots and point your Hinesburg travel trailer towards one. The locals are friendly; just remember to clean up after yourself.

RV Parks

The lovely state of Vermont would love to cater to your Hinesburg camper rental. Normally in Vermont, you generally have to drive quite a ways to get anywhere. Luckily for you, this area of the state is pretty reasonably clustered making travel time a cinch.

Stay among the mountains or sprawl out by the water, as you have a handful of prospective campsites an easy distance from Hinesburg. Short-term stays are welcome or indulge in a week or more. Choose from various full hookup sites complete with other amenities to keep you comfortable. There really isn’t anything like any season in Vermont.

Should you be in need of a quick, unplanned overnight stay, consider Walmart. There is one less than 15 minutes away in Williston and camping may be allowed there. Just be sure to pop in and speak with the manager before dropping your stabilizers.

Exploring the City

Everything is walkable in downtown Hinesburg. The small village-styled collection of shops and restaurants are charming enough to spend a few hours or the whole day. Many local food establishments in Vermont tend to have a farm-to-table or organic mindset and are verily tasty regardless of the town. You can find this same allure in other smaller Vermont towns. We recommend making a list and hitting the road with your travel trailer rental from Hinesburg.

If you didn’t know, Vermont has one of the highest numbers of microbreweries per state size. Craft beer (and cider) is a culture here; set up a tour solely based around visiting and sipping brews. There are several highly ranked beers produced and only available for purchase in state. In Chittenden County alone, you’ll find nearly 20 independent breweries, and should you venture a little further, you will find even more. Vermonters take their beer very seriously but love sharing their creations with all who visit.

Burlington, and more specifically Church Street, is a quick drive from Hinesburg and an easy way to spend a day. Church Street is the main hub of this city and is lined with shops and restaurants. Church Street is up a little ways from the waterfront that features a nice boardwalk with swings and benches readily available to rest those legs. The Echo Center is a fun stop especially with children to learn all about Lake Champlain and the inhabitants, and perhaps you can be the one to spot Champ. And, as the sun is setting, be sure to stop for a maple creamee (what Vermonters call soft serve ice cream), which is a staple part of the summer diet here. Everyone who crosses into the Green Mountain State is immediately drawn in and understands why it’s considered a very special area.
