The town of Hico lies at the northern edge of Texas Hill Country and has a lot to offer both locals and visitors. Downtown Hico has many great places to shop, with art galleries and many unique stores. Annual events take place all through the year, and there is always something going on. Hico was incorporated in 1883 and quickly became the Hamilton Country shipping center. The Great Outdoors

The Tres Rios Resort is set of 47 spacious acres, nestled among the native Texan pecan and oak trees. The Brazos, Paluxy and Squaw river all converge on the resort’s southern point, which is where the resort got its name. It is not surprising that rafting is a favorite activity of the guests that visit the park. Over the year there are a number of activities packed into the annual schedule such as potluck dinners, wood crafts, nature walks, and much more.

Exploring the City

You can’t visit Hico without a trip to the Billy the Kid Museum. The museum contains both temporary exhibitions and events and permanent collections. In the museum, you can learn about the mystery of this Texan legend as well as find out more about the history of the area.

Another nearby attraction that is well worth a visit in your Hico RV rental is the Dublin Bottling Works, home of some of the world’s best sodas, all of which are exclusively made with pure sugar cane. As the oldest bottling facility in Texas, the company has been doing what they do best for over 120 years. Visitors can take a tour of the historic facilities and view one of the world’s largest collections of classic soda memorabilia.
