Hamilton is a city in Hamilton County, in the central region of Texas. It is also the county seat of Hamilton County. The city is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 281 and State Highway 36. It is centrally located between the cities of Waco, Austin, and Dallas. The city and county were both named after South Carolina's then-governor James Hamilton. The town was first conceived in 1855 and became the county seat when Hamilton County was founded three years later. This was followed by the establishment of a post office in 1861, but growth was slowed by the Civil War and continued Indian attacks until the end of the war in 1876.

RV rentals in Hamilton County are your assurance of a comfortable and rewarding adventure that you will remember for a long time. There are other towns that are notable and worth exploring at least a little bit. Hico's motto is “Where Everybody is Somebody.” Meridian shares its geographically inspired name with Meridian, Mississippi, and Merida, Yucatan, Mexico (among others). Gatesville has been designated the “Spur Capital of Texas” and is home to a museum with a collection of 10,000 spurs, one of the largest collections of its kind in the world. Goldthwaite is near the Regency Suspension Bridge, one of the last remaining swinging bridges still in use in Texas. Comanche is the home of the Comanche County Historical Museum, which has a blacksmith shop, a doctor's office, a filling station, and a replica of the saloon where gunslinger John Wesley Hardin shot and killed a deputy sheriff in 1874. Your Hamilton travel trailer rental is how you will explore this area in comfort and style.
