Fogelsville is a village in Lehigh County and a suburb of Allentown, Pennsylvania. It was named after Judge John Fogel who built and operated a hotel in the area in 1798. Fogelsville's economy was originally based on iron mining, and it was the last stop at the time on the Catasauqua and Fogelsville Railroad which transported the iron ore to other destinations in the Lehigh Valley. Today Fogelsville is a large regional trucking center and surrounds numerous industrial parks and corporate centers. It is home to one of six Yocco's Hot Dogs restaurants, a local chain based in Lehigh Valley famous for its cheesesteaks and hot dogs.

Book an RV in Lehigh County, and you can expect to have the kind of unique trip that only an RV vacation can provide. There are some other towns that should be visited while you are here. Wind Gap is part of Pennsylvania's Slate Belt (a group of communities known for their slate mining activities). Coopersburg is home to some professional athletes, including Olympic gymnast Elizabeth Price, and two founding members of the music group Dream Theater, John Myung and Mike Portnoy. Perkasie was home for a time to novelist Pearl S. Buck who won the 1932 Pulitzer Prize for her novel The Good Earth; her house is located near Perkasie in Hilltown Township and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Fleetwood was the home of an automobile coachbuilder, Fleetwood Metal Body, which was purchased and integrated by General Motors in 1931; the company lived on through GM's Cadillac Fleetwood series of automobiles. Your Fogelsville RV rental is how you will navigate and explore this historic area.
