The charming city of Live Oak is located between Lake City and Madison. Incorporated in the 1870s, Live Oak was founded by 39 Floridians looking to create a community in an area that covered nearly 1,000 acres of land. Once established, Live Oak was the subject of many strange and harsh laws, including fines for swearing, not being allowed to park a horse or mule on the road or sidewalk, and others.

The town prospered due to the expansion of the railroad along the Suwanee River and locals named the settlement after a tree under which railway workers used to sit. The perfect getaway from the big city, Live Oak is positioned close to major cities, but far enough away that you can enjoy the many natural wonders upstate Florida has to offer. When you rent an RV in Live Oak, adventure is never far away.
