Until the arrival of the Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1806, the spot where Fairview, Oregon now lies was a thriving indigenous village on the Columbia River. The Chinookan and Multnomah tribes peacefully coexisted for centuries in the riverside settlement, well before the arrival of settlers in the mid-19th century by means of the Oregon Trail. The name Fairview was chosen by those arriving from the east, as they were awestruck by the fantastic scenery on the banks of the Columbia River.

From the settling of Fairview to its official incorporation in 1908, Fairview became a prosperous community known for its agricultural industry. The arrival of railroad tracks in town brought with it a rising population and a connection to nearby Portland.

When you book an RV in Fairview, you are close enough to some excellent metropolitan areas. Interstate 84 passes through Fairview making it a convenient location to rent an RV, and the stunning natural beauty of both Oregon and Washington are incredibly accessible from this wonderful small city near the shared border of these two states.
