The Tabor House and Civil War Museum is the oldest family home in the City of Ellijay and was offered to the Gilmer County Historical Society in 2008. The home was constructed in 1870. Today, the Tabor house serves as a museum that replicates what it would have been like in the time that it was constructed. The museum has over 200 books and videos that tell about the Civil War from both points of view.
