Shoehorned between eight states, Tennessee is a state of immense natural beauty and diverse landscape. There are lots of things to do in Rhea County and the surrounding region. If you are into hiking, hop into your travel trailer rental from Dayton and head out to North Chickamauga Creek Gorge Trail Head and explore the rugged nature of the trails. For instance, the trail crosses through the river a couple of times, so come prepared to get wet. Novice hikers might find it a bit strenuous getting over boulders, but it will be fun nevertheless. Even though the water is usually cold, you will love taking a dip after a tiresome hike.

Just outside the town lies the Class II Laurel-Snow State Natural Area which was designated as a World Heritage Site in 1973. If you are in search of a park that won't disappoint, this is it. The main hiking trail makes its way through remnants of an old mine in an immensely scenic setting. You will have lots of fun exploring the gorge area, and the Laurel Waterfall is simply spectacular.
