Don’t let the size of this town fool you. Dacula is centrally located between Atlanta and Athens in northern Georgia. This historic little town is home to many of Atlanta’s oldest buildings, helping visitors remember that Georgia is, in fact, one of the original 13 colonies of America. Whether you enjoy spending time at the lake, hiking through forests, or spending nights out in a big city, when you book an RV in Gwinnett County, you’ll have ample opportunity to take on any of these adventures.

Unfortunately, there isn’t much in terms of public transportation. However, there is a route that can get you into Atlanta. Luckily enough there is relatively little traffic, so you can easily maneuver around in your Dacula RV rental by owner.

Sometimes it is good to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and Dacula offers the perfect escape for that. Whether you want to spend your day lost among the trees or being hypnotized by the lakes, Dacula is the ideal place to get away from it all.

The Great Outdoors

About 45 minutes north of town is Lake Lanier. This man-made reservoir has turned into its own little world. Visitors to the area can camp out, visit museums, shop, spend time on the lake or beach, or even go to the Margaritaville Water Park. There are plenty of places where you can rent sailboats, paddle boards, and kayaks. After a day out on the lake, you can either have your own little campfire dinner or go to one of the more than 100 restaurants in the towns around Lake Lanier.

If you’re looking to get lost in the forest and put your Dacula RV rental on the road, you can go further north to the Chattahoochee National Forest. With almost 900,000 acres of explorable wilderness covered by 850 miles of trails, Chattahoochee National Forest is the perfect place to escape from the world. With the rolling foothills of the lower Appalachians, you have your choice of taking a leisurely stroll or a more strenuous hike, or you can walk along a river and even try to find some of the historic petroglyphs within the park. With the multitude of rivers and streams crossing through the park, there are plenty of locations where you can cool off by sticking your feet in the water and relax.
