Cynthiana, Kentucky is located in Harrison County. It has a population just over 6,000 people and is the county seat. The city is about an hour from Lexington and Cincinnati, Ohio. It’s about 90 minutes from Louisville. Cynthiana has an unusual name because it was named for Cynthia and Anna Harrison, two daughters of the man who donated land to create the town.

The city has a climate typical of Kentucky and the rest of the upper South. The summers are hot and humid. When you rent an RV in Cynthiana, one can expect warm weather most of the year, while during the winter should expect cold temperatures, but not exceptionally cold.

Blue Licks State Park in Carlisle offers many typical state park amenities. They have electric and water hookups, offer pool access, and space for someone to pitch a tent. There are blacktop parking sites as well as gravel and grass.

Exploring The City
