A tiny Californian beach oasis awaits you with an aesthetic that’ll have you dreaming of this special artist community for years after. Book a luxury rental RV in Carmel-by-the-Sea to see for yourself why people rave about this exceptionally dog-friendly town steeped in Spanish, Mexican, and Native American influences.

Carmel-by-the-Sea originally found its roots as an area for the artists. Poets, writers, painters, and more gathered to create a visually stunning village that worked around the naturally occurring landscape rather than remove it. The town is situated on the Pacific Coast north of Los Angeles and south of San Francisco, though neither is a close drive. When you do make your way to Carmel-by-the-Sea in your camper rental, make sure to note that the one-square-mile village has neither streetlights nor numbers for businesses and homes. Pay extra close attention to landmarks and other visual queues as you get the lay of the land.
