This small town is nestled into the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. As this is a very rural area, the nearest larger town is Asheville, NC around 75 miles to the southwest, while the large city of Charlotte lies over 100 miles to the southeast.

THE GREAT OUTDOORS

It should also be noted that, due to the higher elevation in the local area, weather here can vary greatly from the rest of the state. This region does regularly experience snow during the winter season. Due to its heavy forest cover, this region is also a prime place for viewing fall colors and is a good place to spot local wildlife.

RV PARKS
