When you book an RV in Arkadelphia, you will get to explore so much of this exciting corner of the world and all that it has to offer.

Discover Arkadelphia

The Great Outdoors

If you’re just looking to get some time out in the sun and want a memorable experience, then head to Crater of Diamonds State Park, just about an hour’s drive to the west near Murfreesboro. Here, you can spend the day searching for diamonds in their original volcanic source. You get to keep anything you find and who knows, maybe you’ll get lucky and find a multi-carat diamond. One of the largest diamonds ever unearthed in the United States was found at Crater of Diamonds, so you never know, it may just be your lucky day. After you’ve had enough mining, you can retire to the nature trails that wind through the surrounding forests.

After searching for gemstones, head about 75 minutes north of Arkadelphia to Pinnacle Mountain State Park near Little Rock. Considered to be one of the most geographically diverse parks in all of Arkansas, the centerpiece of the park is Pinnacle Mountain itself. However, in addition to this surprisingly steep mountain, there are rivers and forests and wetlands waiting to be explored. You’re never without activities at Pinnacle Mountain State Park, ranging from sitting on the dock and watching the river pass you by to hiking up the side of Pinnacle Mountain.

If you’re looking to get a little lost in nature, then head about two hours north of town to Ouachita National Forest. When you rent an RV in Arkadelphia, the drive up to Ouachita is well worth it. With a whopping 1.8 million acres of designated land, the Ouachita is one of the crown jewels of The Natural State. You can enjoy day hiking along one of the dozens of trails that wind through the forest or push yourself with a bit of backpacking through some of the most beautiful wilderness you’re likely to see. If you start to get a little too hot, you can cool off by swimming in the various creeks and lakes that lace their way through the forest.

RV Parks

When you book an motorhome rental in Arkadelphia, you’ll need a place to park it so you can kick back and relax a bit. Who knows, you might be climbing Pinnacle Mountain tomorrow.

About 35 miles north of Arkadelphia is the Lake Catherine Campground. Situated in Lake Catherine State Park, you can secure a full hookup site with easy access to bathrooms and showers. You’ll be able to explore the various trails that lead to the many waterfalls that help shape the landscape of the beautiful park.

Also to the north of Arkadelphia is the Iron Mountain Campground. Right on the shores of DeGray Lake, you’ll find sites with electric hookups, and access to bathrooms, showers, and boat ramps. DeGray Lake is colloquially known as a “Diamond Lake,” meaning that the lake has crystal clear waters. You can enjoy these waters by boating, fishing, and even water skiing.

Explore the City

When touring the area with the Arkadelphia motorhome rental, you may want to set aside a little bit of time to explore some of the city’s attractions.

If you want to learn more about the history of the region, you can spend time at the Clark County Historical Museum. Inside the preserved building of a historic train station, the museum is home to a variety of photographs and artifacts that showcase life in the region throughout its occupation.

If you want to experience some of that small-city charm, then head to Downtown Arkadelphia; specifically to downtown Main Street. Here, you can browse through the various art shops and boutiques or indulge in a local meal or just stroll around and appreciate the warm feeling of it all.

After a long day of hiking and exploring, be sure to treat yourself to some of Arkansas’ state delicacies, especially blackberries and peaches.
