Although Alabaster is mostly known for its proximity to plenty of outdoor activities, there’s also plenty to do in the city itself. In addition to basics like gas stations and grocery stores, Alabaster also has a quaint downtown filled with local shops and restaurants. This downtown also hosts two major events each year - CityFest and the Alabaster Christmas Parade. CityFest celebrates Alabaster’s birthday on the first Saturday of June each year by featuring games, rides, live music, and other fun activities. The Christmas Parade in early December features over 100 floats and is one of the largest parades in the nation.
