Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park are stunning wilderness areas teeming with spectacular wildlife and a wide variety of plant species in an area known for biodiversity. Grand Teton National Park is known for its staggering mountain peaks with panoramic views of northern Wyoming, as well as its incredible skiing and snowboarding. Wyoming is an outdoors enthusiast’s wonderland, so campgrounds are located around every corner. Big Horn Mountains Campground could be a nice place to post up for one or more nights, with excellent views of the Big Horn Mountains. In addition to its scenic landscapes, there are tent and RV campsites with lots of space, and restroom/shower facilities.

Lake Stop Resort is an upscale destination with both a motel and an RV campground on the shores of a large lake. There are swimming areas, fishing docks, a swimming pool, and a restaurant when you stay at this lavish campground by the lake.

Sheridan/Big Horn Mountains KOA is a little outside of town. There are fishing opportunities, a mini-golf course, a swimming pool, a dog park, a hot tub, and a sauna.

The community of Buffalo sure is lively for a place of its size. This compact town has vibrant streets alive with businesses, restaurants, bars, and cafes. There are even a few art galleries in town, where you can find art of all types made by local talent.

The Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum is an accredited history museum with tons of valuable information concerning the town and region. There are a few historic buildings in possession of the museum, like old carriage houses and a homesteading cabin built in 1916. You can learn lots about natural history, frontier military conflicts, Native American culture, and a variety of other cool topics. There is an amazing shop on-site full of local artisan goods.

The Historic Occidental Hotel Museum is a stellar place to check out when you rent an RV in Buffalo too. It's housed in a beautiful old building that has been around since the early days of the Old West. This old saloon and hotel has hosted many of the Wild West’s most infamous outlaws, like the Sundance Kid and Calamity Jane among others, firmly establishing it as a classic frontier town.
