The town of Corrine was formed as the unofficial “Gentile Capital of Utah” in the mid 19th century. The strip of land between the Great Salt Lake and Wasatch Mountains had been claimed by Latter Day Saints settlers, and Corrine was specifically set up to be a town free of their restrictions. As such, liquor stores and saloons were prominent and life in Corinne would often be described as “colorful”. Not long after, it became famous for its proximity to the point where the railroads from the east and west coast met to form the first transcontinental railroad.

This is a rather small town, so it’s likely that you’ll spend much of your time outside of it when you get a camper rental in Corinne. Brigham City is a short drive away as is the city of Ogden, where you can catch public transportation into Salt Lake City if you’re looking for more urban activities. When you book an RV in Corinne, it's all about having the freedom to travel to some of the interesting points in and outside the Wasatch Front communities without the high price of staying in one of them.

The Great Outdoors

Just south of town is the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, a massive 79,000-acre preserve encompassing the Bear River delta as it flows into the Great Salt Lake. The refuge is home to dozens of migratory bird species including bald eagles and tundra swans. Most of the refuge is marshland that’s off limits to visitors, however, there are a few short hiking trails that are excellent for bird watching and there’s a 12-mile-long, self-guided auto tour that snakes its way through the preserve.

If you’re looking for a great place to relax when you get an RV rental in Corinne, make a plan to visit Crystal Hot Springs in nearby Honeyville. During the winter months, this is a fantastic escape from the blistering cold of northern Utah and the mineralized water is said to have special healing properties.

Looking for a great hike? Header over to Beaver Mountain, one of northern Utah’s best ski resorts in the winter and an excellent place to climb some mountains away from the crowds during the summer. Most of the trails are of easy or moderate difficulty, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble even if you are unaccustomed to the higher elevation of the area. For a great picnicking experience though, make your way to Willard Bay State Park on the eastern edge of the Bear River Delta. It’s an excellent place to watch the sunset or do a little fishing during the day.

RV Parks near Corinne

The Golden Spike RV Park in Brigham City is probably one of the closest options when you have a motorhome rental near Corinne. They’ve got full hookups, laundry facilities, and WiFI to help make your stay a comfortable one. Another option with lots of amenities is the Brigham City/Perry South KOA. It’s close to the Bear River bird refuge and has full hookups, a swimming pool that’s open during the summer months, and a dog park to exercise your four-legged friend in.

A little farther away is the Traveland RV Park in Logan, which offers laundry facilities, showers, a playground/volleyball court, and full hookups for your Corinne travel trailer rental. For a more rustic experience though, you can head to Box Elder Campground, just a short drive from Brigham City. Here you'll find drinking water and flush toilets available, and of course, the splendor of nature.

Another option is to stay in the parking lot of the Walmart Supercenter in Perry when you rent an RV in Corinne. With manager permission, it’s possible to stay for a few nights, but know that you’ll be camping amenity-free, so come ready for self-sufficiency.

Exploring the Town of Corinne

While Corinne is quite small and doesn’t have too many attractions of its own, nearby Brigham City has quite a few great places to visit. The Brigham City Museum and Gallery should be your first stop when looking to experience the culture of northern Utah. The museum has an extensive collection of works from artists all around Box Elder County along with historical items from early Mormon settlers and the Native American inhabitants of the area. However, if you love old cars you’ll also want to check out the Millstream Classic Car Museum in the nearby town of Willard. Born of one man’s love for his father’s car, it’s blossomed into a warehouse with dozens of classic vehicles on display.

Corinne is also one of the closest towns to the Golden Spike National Historic Site, the point marking the completion of America’s first transcontinental railroad. The site even has replicas of the two locomotives from the Central Pacific Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad that met at the famous point in 1869. Reenactments of the driving of the golden spike are also held periodically throughout the year. Another interesting attraction not far from the golden spike is the ATK Rocket Garden, a small display of intercontinental ballistic missiles produced by the nearby Thiokol industrial plant. The two together make for an interesting display of American industrialism.
