Situated just about 20 miles south of Dallas is Palmer, Texas. The staff members are helpful, and though the museum is small, it is usually packed with plenty of items to view. There’s a lot of information on placards, and you can gather a great deal of insight about this region of the country that was settled more than 150 years ago.

The Ellis County Courthouse is located in Waxahachie and is an old courthouse. It dominates the downtown area of Waxahachie and has beautiful architecture. The red stone makes this an imposing building at the center of the town square.
