Kerens, Texas was established in 1881. This area was named for a judge in St. Louis when the St. Louis Southwestern Railway of Texas was built through the county. As the railway essentially bypassed a nearby town, most of those businesses and people ended up moving to Kerens. Just before the turn of the century, the town had grown to contain two hotels, four grocery stores, and three cotton gin mills. When you search for an RV in Kerens, you will be a short drive southeast of Dallas and in the heart of some wonderful Texas country.

When you enjoy a motorhome rental in Kerens, you’ll be close to a couple of lakes for great water activities, including fishing. You’ll also be a short drive northwest of Davy Crockett National Forest near Lufkin, Sam Houston National Forest, and Angelina National Forest, also near Lufkin. Just to the east of those is Sabine National Forest near San Augustine, which sits right along the border of Louisiana.
