Walter (White) the Stealth Camper Van - Ford Econoline

Sleeps 5
18 ft. long
Pet friendly
Offers delivery

This is an iconic Van in Tahoe (know as the Eata Mountain van), if only the walls could talk. It has been owned by and hosted Pro Skiers and Snowboarders as well as pro Mt. Bikers. Its been to Canada and Mexico and everywhere in between on epic road trips. You will get waves and nods from the locals here in Tahoe as you pass by thinking you're one of the previous owners. With such a well know vehicle comes some responsibility to be respectful and curious to those that recognize the vehicle. Van life in Lake Tahoe doesn't get any easier then this ride. Eata Mountain Van has undergone a interior remodel and is now going to be called Walter with its new interior designed to provide more storage and functionality.Awesome camper van for those wanting to explore CA.

Questions I often get:Q:Does it have a kitchen?
A: yes the kitchen is an REI Table. Walter comes with a camper stove with green propane bottles, and a Weber BBQ, a portable sink, 5 gal water tank and lots of storage for food. Silverware, cutting boards, cast iron skillet & Duchoven are in the van ready to go. It also has a complete Red dish set from Coleman for 4 and a stainless set for 2 more.
Q: is there space to store your stuff?
A: we store all the blankets and bedding in bags under the front bench and rear seat, there is also a ton of roof storage
Q: those lights are sweet! Where did you get them?
A: We got them on amazon. They are battery operated white LED string light to set the mellow mood. We also have bright LED lights in the cab area, and above the beds.
Q: what happens when its really hot?
A: This is a mountain Van. I've lived in Tahoe for years and never used AC in a car. Currently no AC in the van. We have a canopy pop up setup that helps give some more shade. It helps with the rain too. The windows are also tinted which helps.
Q: can you sleep in it?
A: yes of course its a camper van. You can remove the back and front table and fold out the futons, there slat boards that extend the futon into a bed size in the front and table folds down in the back to support the bed in the back. There is also a platform on top that can sleep 1-2 in a tent or under the stars. So the van sleeps a total of 5-6, or 3 in separate beds.
Q: do you ever get cold at night?
A: Once we slept in it down to 26F yes it was cold, but we found that a hot water bottle and warm clothes really help. However the van is now insulated and in the winter comes with a heater.
Q: is the bed comfortable? do you sleep well in it?
A: The bed is surprisingly comfortable. Way better then a camping mat
Q: how is the gas mileage?
A: it gets around 13-15 MPG. If you drive slower it gets better gas mileage
Q: Does it drive well?
A: Yes, it drives on the highway very smoothly (I often catch myself speeding its so smooth). Once acquainted with the way it drives its super easy and fun.
Q: is it hard to park?
A: Once you know how long it is, it can fit in all parking spots in cities or parking lots.
Q: Can you sleep in it legally?
A: We always look this up as every city has different rules. I wouldn't feel comfortable sleeping in a city unless I knew I wouldn't have to pee in the middle of the night.
Q: Where do I pick up the Van?
A: The Back Mont Bleu Parking lot behind where I work.

I love Tahoe. I transplanted myself here after growing up in the Bay Area. As far as what I like to do for fun, well I travel to see new places and experience different cultures to broaden my perspectives, I Snowboard, Snow Ski, Wakeboard, Kite Board, Paddle Board, Kayak, Surf, Mt. Bike, Dirt Bike, Ride Harley's, Race Cars, Skydive, Base Jump, Rock Climb, Paraglide, Speed Wing, Proximity Fly, Squirrel Suit, and I love walks on the beach to watch sunsets or sunrises and sometime I just feel like dancing.
