This wooded park on 15 acres features a loop trail, picnic areas with grills, a boat dock and restrooms. Fourteen-Mile Creek Trail isn’t 14 miles (the creek is), but it’s a beautiful two miles of meandering trail that follows a pretty stream. This is a great walk for small children or dogs.

This astonishing park features the largest intact expanse of old-growth hardwood forest left in the southeastern United States. The Congaree and Wateree Rivers meander through the floodplain, carrying sediment that nourishes and keeps this ecosystem healthy and vigorous.
