Stony Run is an unincorporated community in Berks County, Pennsylvania. The county was formed in 1752 from parts of other counties but was reduced in size in 1772 and again in 1811 when some northwestern sections of the county were made into counties of their own. Berks County today is home to a number of post-secondary educational institutions and has several claims to fame. It is home to the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps, an 11-time DCA (Drum Corps Associates) World Champion. It has two structures that are listed on the Pennsylvania Historic Sites list, the Carl Weisser homestead and the Daniel Boone homestead. The county also has a long list of celebrities associated with it, such as writers Bob Cesca (of the Huffington Post), John Updike, and Martin Cruz Smith.

Book an RV in Berks County, and you are on your way to a vacation filled with scenery, music, and history. There are a few other towns that you should spend some time in as well. Tamaqua was an important railroad destination until the late 1960s. Lehighton developed a number of early industries by capitalizing on its proximity to the Lehigh River and the water power it provided. Macungie was founded as Millerstown in 1776 and incorporated as the village of Millerstown in 1857; its name was changed to Macungie in 1857 in order to prevent it being confused with Millerstown in Perry County, Pennsylvania. Boyertown takes its name from the post office in its territory that has been there since 1828. Fredericksburg was founded by Frederick Stump, a settler of ill temper and bad repute, and was initially named Stumptown. Your Stony Run RV rental is your ticket to exploring this historic area.
