Lansford, Pennsylvania is a quiet city in Carbon County known for its historic buildings and coal mining history. Named after Asa Lansford Foster, a resident who helped to expand the city, Lansford was once a popular meeting site for the Molly Maguires, Irish coal miners who formed a secret society.
