Neatly settled on the stunning Pacific coastlines of Oregon, Lincoln City is a gorgeous place to rent an RV and take the vacation of a lifetime. The city is named for Lincoln County, which in turn was named for the late President Abraham Lincoln. This seaside city was once a loose collection of several other smaller communities before officially incorporating as Lincoln City in 1965.

Lincoln City primarily subsists off of its three main industries: Healthcare, retirement, and tourism. People from all over the state and country flock to this exciting vacation destination to enjoy pleasant temperatures, an artsy community, spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, and lots of other local attractions. When you book an RV in Lincoln City, you gain access to the magic of seaside Oregon, allowing yourself to travel up and down the coast to various beach towns or inland cities like Salem, Eugene, or Portland. On top of all that, the town is known to host yearly gatherings and celebrations, like the Summer Kite Festival, the Fall Kite Festival, and the Siletz Bay Music Festival held each summer in June and July.

The Great Outdoors

There are no limits to what you can do and where you can go when you rent an RV in western Oregon, and there are dozens of great parks and recreation areas dotting the coast. You don’t even have to leave town because places like Devil’s Lake State Recreation Area exist within its confines. Guests can rent kayaks from the park to use in the lake or take part in guided kayaking tours, and there are ample campsites to use when you bring your Lincoln City camper rental for an overnight stay.

Bob Straub State Park and Cape Lookout State Park are both located to the north on the shores of Oregon, with stunning views and magical sunsets. Cape Lookout State Park is found over by the city of Tillamook and is well worth a visit if you have the time. The park is located on a sand spit between Netarts Bay and the Pacific Ocean, making for fantastic sunrises in addition to stellar sunsets. Hiking along the coastal trails is a fantastic way to explore the area, and you can even paraglide over the park for unbeatable views of the entire region. Tillamook State Forest is the largest entity in the local area, and it's much closer than Mount Hood National Forest, one of the most popular features in the entire state. A third of a million acres comprise this enchanting, temperate rainforest, widely considered to be one of the rainiest places in the country, with over 100 inches of rainfall each year. You can traverse the park on foot or a mountain bike, and locate hidden waterfalls and other cool features while resting in the comfort of your Lincoln City motorhome rental at night.
