The winding Cuyahoga River gives way to deep, thick forests, rolling hills and picturesque farmland prairie. You won’t believe you’re just a few minutes from a major metropolitan area. Although RV camping is not permitted at this small park, there are numerous municipal and state parks within an easy drive in your Hubbard rental camper.

Just next door in Pennsylvania lies the Allegheny National Forest, the state’s only national forest, nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. Composed of plateau tops with elevations around 2,300 feet above sea level, and valleys dropping to 1,000 feet, the forest here consists of a healthy, vigorous forest that provides wood products, protection of fragile watersheds and many recreational opportunities, including hiking and camping. There are several RV friendly spots to camp here, mostly primitive sites with basic amenities. Wake up to the sounds of the birds in the trees as they welcome you to this pretty corner of Pennsylvania.

Closer to Hubbard is the McGuffey Wildlife Preserve in nearby Lowellville. This is a lovely little spot with many wildflowers and other wild plants. Enjoy a stroll on one of the paths through the lush acreage. You’ll see deer and many species of birds. The almost 80 acres here is a retreat and a national historic landmark, and there is plenty of parking available for your Hubbard rental motorhome.
