Incorporated in 1873, the town of Reidsville began as just a tavern and general store on the road between Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Danville, Virginia. One of the original establishments in the area was called Wright’s Crossing until farmer Reuben Reid built a hotel and store and later named the newly founded town Reidsville.

For most of its history, Reidsville existed as a rural community, mostly depending on the cultivation of tobacco, a highly lucrative crop at the time. Now Reidsville exists as a bedroom community for nearby Greensboro, just a half hour's drive to the south of town. A revitalized downtown district holds an assortment of locally owned diners and retail shops, and historic homes built by the first settlers in town can be seen in several different areas when you book an RV in Reidsville. Don’t forget about the impressive offerings of nature parks, campgrounds, and recreation areas close to town; North Carolina is absolutely loaded with natural beauty that you can check out when you rent an RV.
