In the New Jersey suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the town of Audubon, New Jersey. This once quiet, yet productive, agricultural town saw a boom when the Atlantic City Railroad made its way through the area. From there, the population skyrocketed, and the farming community that was once referred to as Newton Township developed into Audubon. As more people began to move to the Philadelphia region, Audubon grew into the suburban community it is today. Named after the famed American naturalist John Audubon, the town of Audubon is a great place to use as your home base when you rent an RV in South Jersey.

If you don’t feel like driving your motorhome rental in Audubon, you can hop on board one of the NJ Transit buses that operate in the area. You can also catch a ride on the commuter train and head into Philadelphia for a day filled with history and museums.

When you book an RV in Camden County, you get to open up a world filled with forests, beaches, rivers, and even bright city lights. You’ll be able to see and experience it all when you rent an RV in Audubon.

You can stroll along the banks of the Cooper River or even rent a kayak and explore the river yourself. You can play a game of miniature golf or volleyball, or take a relaxing stroll through the sculpture garden. A little to the north of town, along the Pennsylvania-New Jersey border at the Delaware River, is Amico Island Park in Riverside, New Jersey. Within the forest, there is the historic Batsto Village, an iron and glassmaking industrial center from the mid-18th to the mid-19th century. There, visitors can see glassblowers and blacksmiths at work as well as learn about life in the village during its heyday.
