Enjoy lakes and spending your vacations out on the water? Then you’re going to love Minnesota, and more specifically, renting an RV in Albert Lea. A total of six lakes: Fountain, Goose, Albert Lea, School, Pickerel, and Chapeau surround the town and give it the motto “The Land Between the Lakes.” Everywhere you look, there is water and the opportunity for outdoor recreation.

The town is about a 90-minute drive south of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area, so you’ll be well within driving distance of urban amenities should you need them. While Albert Lea might be relatively small compared to its metropolitan cousin, there are some great restaurants and shops to enjoy in its downtown core. It’s also one of the more walkable towns since much of the development is located right on the lakefront.
