The Red Oaks Nature Center covers 38 acres and has multiple trails within its territory. This is a great spot to learn about the nature of the area and have a relaxing stroll, possibly catching the sight of some local wildlife along the way. If you are looking for a creature-filled experience, visit the Detroit Zoo with its family-friendly safari bike tours full of exciting animals and environments to see.

You might want to try Haas Lake Park RV Campground, about 35 miles to the west of Warren. The grounds feature a lakeside beach and provide opportunities for kayaking, fishing and an assortment of other water activities.

Northpointe Shores RV Resort is another option, about 25 miles northeast of Warren. The resort offers lakeside views, fishing, and a calm atmosphere, and has easy access to local resources and supplies. If you are looking to really live amongst the wilds, try Addison Oaks County Park and Campground, about 45 minutes out in Leonard. You might be a mile or two from resources but access to things like horseback riding makes it a totally different experience. You could also head across the Canadian border and try the Windsor Campground with a 45-minute drive to Windsor, Ontario. The campground has nice lots and good amenities and is in a spot right off the highway, allowing for good mobility and easy reloading for the day’s adventures.

Exploring the City

Tour the town with the Warren RV rental and discover all the food, fun and history that this Michigan city has to offer.
