While exploring the city center, make sure to take a visit to the Historic District that has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places for nearly thirty years. The most unique feature in the district is the distinctively shaped, small homes that radiate from the "Scared Circle," a central feature of the religious camp in the 19th century. To delve even deeper into the regions heritage, head into Gaithersburg to the Community Museum. Located in a restored 1884 Baltimore-Ohio Railroad Station, this museum features a series of changing exhibitions, tours, lectures, and workshops that aim to educate visitors on the areas unique past.
