North Beach sits on the coast of Maryland just south of Chesapeake Beach. Originally established as a sandy summer getaway for the city folks over in Washington DC, North Beach was used as a hub during the gambling mecca and a gathering spot for motorcycle gangs. The area did suffer some losses during the Tropical Storm Isabel in the 2003. Through revitalization and rebuilding, North Beach is back to its prime and has become an increasingly popular beach spot. Cruise over with your North Beach motorhome rental and enjoy the atmosphere for yourself.

Book a luxury motorhome rental in North Beach for a vacation filled with beaches. Because, where there’s one beach along a shoreline, there’s often many more within a close drive. So, grab your sunscreen and hit the waves.

The state capitol, Annapolis is around 30 miles north, a perfect place to visit while you are here on your outdoor recreational adventure!

Discover North Beach

The Great Outdoors

You did plan a beach-focused vacation, right? The salty air is calling. North Beach is a happening place with a wonderful boardwalk for strolling. The beach does have a day use fee but with it comes full access to the area. If you want to do more on the water than just swim and float, North Beach has local water sport rentals including jet skis, kayaks, and paddleboards. Or, take your boardwalk excursion on wheels with a bike rental.

Point your RV rental 2-miles north of North Beach to another beach hangout, Chesapeake Beach. The same rules, regulations, and rentals available at North Beach pertain to Chesapeake Beach as well. You will also find two small nature parks available in the area. Wetlands Overlook Park is a great little nook to observe the local wildlife in action. Sunrise Garden is a new addition with waterfront views but well enough away from the beach traffic. This neighborhood park features walking areas, a pond, and beautifully landscaped gardens.

If you’re not prone to seasickness, consider a daytime adventure aboard a vessel. The vessel type is your choosing: fishing boat or sailboat. There are a handful of charter companies offering deep-sea fishing excursions as a way to interact with the marine environment. Or, if the day is particularly windy, take a Windsail Cruise around the area. Learn about all that goes into steering and navigating these intricate boats while getting a panoramic view of the whole North Beach shore.

RV Parks

Of the surrounding beach towns, North Beach is one of the smaller ones. As a result, when you rent a camper rental in North Beach, you may have to look to surrounding areas for overnight spots. If only they allowed camping directly out on the beach!

There, of course, is a beach accessible option in Chesapeake Beach. So, if that is what you’re after, definitely consider Breezy Point Beach and Campground. Reservations are required, and the campground doesn’t offer hookups, but with views like these, we think you’ll make the exception. The ocean melody will lull you to sleep.

If it's only a short overnight stay that you are seeking, consider Walmart, larger grocery stores, and truck stops. There are several Walmarts located within 15 miles from town and camping may be an option. Just check with store management before you settle in for the evening.

Exploring the Town

When in the area with your travel trailer rental, you’ll quickly notice North Beach is a cute beach town with its boardwalk lined with the businesses you’d expect to see. Munch on some seafood or pizza while sipping those warm weather cocktails. If it's morning, treat your taste buds to some brunch and coffee while the sun rises over the shoreline. Take a gander at the small boutique and nautical themed shops.

Head over to Chesapeake Beach for a handful more outing offerings. You’ll get a similar beach town vibe on a slightly larger scale. Take a break from the salty water and have a splash in the Chesapeake Beach Water Park. Or, step out of the sun into one of several museums featuring different aspects of Chesapeake Beach’s history and environment.

And, coming to North Beach with your luxury motorhome rental means you get the best of both worlds. Maryland is a verily compact state leaving major city hubs Washington DC, Baltimore, and Alexandria all within an hour's drive. Hit the beach during the day then get out on the town for some nightlife. The cities also make great day trips with plenty to see and do. We recommend attacking each city with a plan and priority list of attractions.

Should it be the wonderful beaches of Maryland you are seeking, consider a camper rental in North Beach. Walk along the shoreline, watch a sunset, visit the lights of the big cities nearby, and take in the spectacular landscape. Rent an RV in North Beach, MD and go explore!
