Clinton, Maryland is a large town located south of Washington D.C. and east of Alexandria, just across the Potomac River. Being situated so close to the significant cities while being far enough away to enjoy the peace of the country and its nature makes this area an ideal place to rent an RV.

Clinton holds a lot of historical significance due to its connection with the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Known as Surrattville before the Civil War, Mary Surratt was supposedly an accomplice of John Wilkes Booth as he stayed at her rooming house and is said to have allegedly given guns and ammunition to Booth. After these events, the town was renamed Clinton, and the city is now famous for its role in a national tragedy. An RV rental in Clinton is a great way to discover an essential part of American history, with cities to explore to the west and natural wonders to east.
