Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge is the perfect outdoor escape. You can drive your RV rental to the refuge that's about 12 miles south of town. Covering large expanses of tidal wetlands, fields and deciduous forest, this is a great place for hiking, biking, walking, driving and of course, enjoying the wildlife.

You may also consider driving to the Choptank River and Fishing Piers State Park in your Cambridge travel trailer rental. Located just outside the city, the piers offer great fishing including catfish, striped bass and trout. This site is good for night fishing too, with adequate lighting. Walking trails along the Choptank River and Bolingbroke Creek make this the perfect outdoor getaway.

Relive the nautical history of Cambridge aboard the Skipjack Nathan. There are options for cruises aboard the skipjack; it's a wonderful experience to go sailing down the Choptank River, reliving tales of nautical yore; a must-do when in Cambridge.

Consider a visit to the Assateague Island National Seashore while you are out on a family outdoor adventure. With options to camp outright by the seashore, watch horses run wild, swim, hike, hunt and take part in a ranger program, this is a great place to drive to with your luxury motorhome rental from Cambridge and spend a relaxing weekend.

RV Parks

When you book a motorhome rental in Cambridge, you will need a place to hang out for a night or two. Driving about 45 miles from Cambridge will bring you to the Roaring Point Waterfront Campground on the Nanticoke River. The park comes with plenty of options, including sites with full hookups for your RV, fire rings, tables at sites, and pets are welcome. Plenty of recreational activities are available too, including fishing, boating, and swimming.

Fort Whaley RV Resort and Campground in Whaleyville is about 50 miles from the city, and one of the finer RV parks. It's easy to access with your Cambridge camper rental, and the park comes equipped with cottage and cabin rentals as well (in addition to the RV sites). Paved sites, some of which are shaded with full hookups, tables, and fire rings are also other amenities available here.

If your tired of all that driving, an option to consider is Walmart. There is a local Walmart that permits overnight RV parking, but remember to drive out in the morning. Also, this site comes with no amenities. And it's advisable to check with the store manager prior to parking for the night.
