Squealers Fun Park is also a great place to bring the kids, especially if they’ve been cooped up for several hours on the road; go-karts and mini-golf there should keep the whole family entertained.

If you don’t feel like taking your Rigby motorhome rental very far, start by checking out Jefferson County Lake. On summer weekends this is a popular hangout as everyone is trying to beat the heat; get there early to find a parking space.

The entrance to Yellowstone National Park is only an hour and a half away at West Yellowstone and the closest entrance to Grand Teton National Park at Jackson is about the same. Mammoth Hot Springs and Old Faithful spew sulfur-laced steam from deep inside the earth while the Tetons tower over the surrounding valleys at heights of over 13,000 feet.

Another interesting geological site can be found at Craters of the Moon National Monument, three hours to the southeast of Rigby. Its otherworldly landscapes are defined by vast fields of solidified lava - perfect for intrepid hikers with an interest in geology to go exploring in.
