Discover Wildomar

The Great Outdoors

California is known for its amazing beaches and larger-than-life cities, but it’s also known for its well-kept outdoor spaces and national forests. Just two hours east of Wildomar you can take your RV to Joshua Tree National Park and camp under the stars. Of course, some might want to park their RV and sleep inside, which the park allows. There are many campgrounds at Joshua Tree National Park, some of which do allow RVs of up to 35 feet in length, but there is one caveat, there are no hookups at any of the campgrounds. Generator use, as crucial as it may be, is limited throughout the day and is only allowed at certain hours. But, think of the trails to be hiked, the miles to be walked, and the boulders to be climbed. This is one of the bests national parks in the state of California and accommodates almost every type of outdoor activity. Joshua Tree National Park is a great outdoor space to take your RV rental near Wildomar. Take a hike on one of the many nature trails or stargaze under the open sky and see the world as it was meant to be.

The outdoor extravaganza doesn’t have to stop there either because nearby to Wildomar is Cleveland National Forest, which has plenty of trails to walk and waterfalls to soak under. Tenaja Falls is just a 30-minute drive from Wildomar and, once you get there,  is a brisk 30-minute hike. It’s not the highest waterfall in the world, but it’s supposed to be beautiful in the spring and attracts all kinds of wildlife, which flock to the falls for a drink. Although, in the hotter months of the year, it might be a good idea to visit Laguna Beach since it’s just a one-hour drive west from Wildomar.

RV Parks

There are plenty of RV parks in the area to choose from. First, there is Weekend Paradise, which is located north of Wildomar in Lake Elsinore. This place has full hookups and a fantastic view of the lake where you can launch your boat or go kayaking.

One other place worth visiting is the Pala Casino RV Park. There are full hookups for over 100 sites, and they accommodate every size of RV. Apart from all the sites, they also offer free WiFi, cable, showers, bathrooms, a dog park, table tennis and a free shuttle to the nearby casino. They even have kitchens for use and laundry machines. A camper rental in Wildomar could take you here so you can kick your feet up and enjoy the finer things in life.

Exploring the City

Wildomar is a beautiful but quiet town and doesn’t have any significant attractions; nevertheless, there are some activities to do with the whole family. There is the Rock Fitness climbing gym, and this is an excellent idea for the entire family. The climbing gym is highly rated and safe for people of all ages. They offer rope climbing and bouldering as well, which differ in technique, but they are both fun to do. You could also leave the kids behind and take a wine tour at Grapeline Wine Tours in Temecula and taste the southern California terroir. And adrenaline junkies can skydive in Lake Elsinore, or ride a hot air balloon thousands of feet in the air.

Rent an RV in Wildomar to explore all that southern California has to offer. This area of the country is rich with outdoor experiences and plenty of RV parks in between to rest and continue your adventure.
