Rosemead is a city in Los Angeles County, California, and it was incorporated as a suburb of Los Angeles in 1959. It was originally known as Rose Meadow, after Leonard Rose who purchased the land to breed and raise horses. Neighbors in the community later changed the name to Rosemead. Since the 1970s, the community's appearance has changed significantly but some restaurants and businesses, both local and larger commercial entities, are still there and have existed in Rosemead for decades. Rosemead is surrounded by a number of other city-suburbs of Los Angeles, whose citizens often venture into Rosemead to take advantage of the restaurant scene, parks, and other amenities.

When you book an RV in Los Angeles County, you are on your way to an epic Californian vacation. While you're there, try to make some time to visit other nearby cities and destinations. Arcadia has had three reputations since its inception, initially for lawlessness but more recently as a poultry-raising capital. West Covina has achieved success with its walnut and orange groves since the 1930s. Hacienda Heights is popular for its farmers markets and whale watching tours. Pico Rivera was once called “Sejat” by Native Americans, who believed that the world originated where Pico Rivera now stands. Downey is the birthplace of both Richard and Karen Carpenter, and the Apollo Space Program. Take your Rosemead motorhome rental out on the road and any of these destinations can be an added thrill to your vacation.

The Great Outdoors

Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area is a good destination for water sports and activities such as a beach and water play area and fishing on the reservoir. An on-site nature center staffed and operated by volunteers offers educational, interpretive, and walking tours of the park all year round. Don't forget to take pictures to show everyone back home, and make sure your Rosemead CA RV rental is in them.

Whittier Narrows Recreation Area is a diverse public space with lots to see and do. The park is home to a military museum and a shooting range and it also has an extensive array of exercise facilities and sporting areas, such as disc golf, baseball and soccer fields, and more. Families can come here to picnic; the campground offers horseback riding and lessons, an urban farm, and social activities for younger people (some of these are one-day events, perfect for visitors to attend). Park your Rosemead RV trailer rental nearby and enjoy the activities before retiring back to your home-on-wheels for lunch or dinner.

Hermon Park, also known as Arroyo Seco Park, is an urban tree-lined park with tennis courts, a picnic area, and a children's playground. It is open from dawn to dusk and has lots of shade in the summer as well as open space and a cycling path that follows the nearby river.

RV Parks

Most of them are only a short distance from the theme parks and other major tourist attractions, which makes getting there and back as easy as it could be. A Rosemead camper rental is a perfect match for these facilities, leading to a comfortable and memorable vacation.

Anaheim RV Park has pull-through access, trees for shade, and laundry facilities. A shuttle bus at the front gate will take you comfortably and quickly to many of the nearby shopping malls and theme parks. The campground is child and pet-friendly, has full hookups, concrete pads, and picnic tables. Wi-Fi is available.

Orangeland RV Park is a family-oriented campground with a playground and a recreation room for when the weather isn't cooperating. Full hookups, Wi-Fi, and laundry facilities are available, and some of the individual sites have pull-through access and picnic tables. A camp store can help you to restock your supplies. Some of the park guests are long term-tenants, the majority of guests pay by the day or the week.

Exploring The City

Once you have worked up your appetite, it is time to replenish and Rosemead is the perfect city to do this in.
