The little town of Patterson sits just a short distance to the southeast of its larger cousin, Modesto. Getting an RV rental in Patterson is a great way to experience California’s Central Valley as it sits just off of Interstate 5, making getting between cities fast and hassle-free. You could even visit San Francisco and the rest of the Bay Area while you’re there, though it should be noted that its narrow streets are not conducive to RVs and it might be better to take public transportation into the city. Fortunately, buses and a light rail system can get you there from the Central Valley; it will take longer than driving, so plan accordingly.

Like many of the towns in California’s Central Valley, Patterson is known for its agricultural products and has been named the “Apricot Capital of the World”. There’s even an Apricot Festival held each June where you can sample these tasty fruits while enjoying a parade, live music, and a vibrant street fair. If you book an RV in Patterson you’ll have the chance to experience this slice of Americana without the trouble of finding accommodations during this popular festival.
