The city of Murrieta lies 80 miles to the southeast of Los Angeles and 38 miles south of Riverside in what is commonly referred to as the Inland Empire Region of California. This fast-growing area serves as a bedroom community for America’s second largest metropolis and is beginning to draw tourists with its own attractions. Renting an RV in Murrieta, CA is the perfect way to explore this region, where public transportation between urban areas can be difficult to navigate and very time-consuming. Additionally, hotel prices in such a popular tourist area can be quite high, so it’s advantageous to have your own accommodations on wheels.

Murrieta is just seven miles north of the more well-known city of Temecula, which has a number of popular tourist attractions. A visit to Murrieta will usually involve a few trips there, but sometimes it’s just more pleasant to stay in a quieter area when traveling with an RV rental. Buses operating by the Riverside Transit Authority can take you between the two cities for a nominal fee.

Lake Elsinore Marina and RV Resort, Pepper Tree RV Park, Lake Park RV Resort and Lodge, Roadrunner RV Park, and Crane Lakeside Park are all good choices. There’s a Walmart on the eastern side of the lake and a Costco just a mile north of it, near the I-15 onramp. The nearby town of Hemet also has a few options if you get an RV rental in Murrieta: Casa Del Sol RV Resort, Golden Village Palms RV Resort, and Mountain Lyon RV Resort. A Walmart Supercenter, several chain restaurants, the Hemet Valley Mall, and a large fuel station are within a couple miles of the RV parks.
