If you are an avid angler, renting an RV near Lower Lake gives you the chance to fish one of the country’s best lakes. Watersports are also popular on the lake, with many folks going there to swim, sail their boats, ride jet skis, wakeboards, and water skis.

On the other side of the lake, near Lucerne, is the southern end of the vast Mendocino National Forest. With nearly a million acres of pristine wilderness dominated by rolling hills, towering trees, and quaint lakes, ponds, and streams. There’s a wealth of opportunities to enjoy in the national forest when you rent a motorhome in Lower Lake. There are many trails through the southern half of the park, each with totally different experiences. Hike, bike, backpack or paraglide your way through one of California’s favorite preserves.

Head south with your Lake County RV rental to Boggs Mountain State Park. The beautiful forest, reclaimed many times after wildfires over the years, boasts a variety of weaving trails through the woodland hills. A vast amount of trails are enjoyed by hikers, bikers and horseback riders. Nearly all of the 3,493-acre forest is open to the public.
