Named for a local entrepreneur in the mid-19th century, Firebaugh is a small city in the heart of California. Andrew D. Firebaugh was an enterprising man who capitalized on the infamous California Gold Rush by building toll roads, ferry boats, and other local businesses. The town’s motto reads “The Jewel of the San Joaquin” and has certainly made a case for such a statement since it was incorporated back in 1914.

Firebaugh is located in central California, in the middle of the San Joaquin Valley, an area known for its massive agricultural output. Fresno is a little less than an hour's drive east of Firebaugh, and the town of Merced is a short drive to the north.

Like most places in the central region of California, there are loads of exciting hiking trails, parks, forests, and mountains to visit when you book an RV in Firebaugh. What it lacks in big city infrastructure, it surely makes up for in charm and its proximity to breathtaking scenery.

Coe State Park is a large park close to Pacheco State Park, known for being one of the largest state parks in the entire state.
